~ MY DOLLHOUSE ~

This was a project that I had dreamed of doing 'someday'. Well, 'someday' finally came when Hubby gave me a dollhouse kit for Christmas a few years ago. It was exactly the style that I wanted! My idea was to create and furnish a dollhouse in a Circa 1930's style!

I spent a lot of months cutting, sanding and glueing......and a few more papering, paneling and painting rooms. Then the fun began! I made all my own curtains, most of the furniture, the bread and cookies in the kitchen, the books in the bookcase in the office, all of the picture frames, and all of the braided rugs that you see in these pictures! That, of course, took many more months! Taking into consideration that I also have a life aside from the dollhouse, all in all it took me about 1-1/2 years to complete. Actually, I'm still not done, and maybe I never will be, as there are more pictures, knick-knacks and extras that I want to furnish it with so that it is complete down to the last detail!

I finally got around to taking some pictures, which are displayed here. I hope you enjoy them......I sure had a blast creating this little home!

There are three stories with two rooms on each floor.
